House Rules and Indemnity
Stays of three nights or less
- Units will be serviced/cleaned daily.
- No linen will be changed.
Stays of four nights or longer
- Units will be serviced/cleaned daily.
- Linen will be changed every two/three days.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL CLEANING REQUESTS, PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH RECEPTION ON/BEFORE ARRIVAL. SHOULD YOU REQUIRE CLEAN TOWELS AT ANY TIME, PLEASE ASK AT RECEPTION.
Room service from our restaurant
- If you choose to make use of our food room service/take away facility from our restaurant, please place all dirty dishes outside your unit early in the morning/after your meal for removal by our staff.
Alcohol at the restaurant and other public areas
- Only alcohol bought from Misty Mountain can be consumed in the restaurant, bar, pool deck and all other public areas on site. Consumption of your own alcohol is only permitted at your individual accommodation unit.
Your accommodation unit
- An allocation of firewood is provided daily. If you should require more, please advise reception. Additional wood is available at R50 per box.
- Please do not adjust the controls of any fitting or appliance in the unit. These have been set for easy and safe use. If you should experience any difficulties, please contact the reception.
- Any foodstuffs, oils, fats, solids or plastics washed down the sink or any sanitary or similar material flushed down the toilet will block the septic tank system. Please do not flush any such matter down the toilet or down the sink. We request your co-operation in this regard as such blockages cause untold misery for staff and guests alike!
- Smoking of cigarettes and hubbly bubblies or vaping is not permitted inside the units. Please do so outside on the veranda.
- Please do not remove anything from your accommodation unit that does not belong to you.
- Please be conscious of the state in which you leave your chalet. Remember that our housekeepers have to clean it up after you!
Consideration to other guests
- Please be considerate and respectful and keep noise to minimum levels at all times.
- No loud music is permitted, and all music must be turned off by 19h00 please.
- No own music to be played in public areas, eg. at the pools, on the deck.
- Music played out of stationery vehicles at accommodation units is not permitted at all.
- Should there be a noise complaint against you, you will be asked once only to keep the noise down. In the event of a second noise complaint, you will be asked to leave the premises, irrespective of the time of day/night.
Litter
- Please do not throw any litter on the ground anywhere on the premises.
- Rubbish bins are provided at your accommodation units and in many other locations around the property.
Drones
- The flying of drones is strictly prohibited on this property unless written consent is given by management.
Pets
- Regrettably, no pets are not allowed on site.
On-site Activities
- There are various onsite activities available at Misty Mountain. Please note that all activities must be paid for at the time of undertaking the activities. We regret that no activities may be room charged.

Whilst every conceivable effort is made to ensure the satisfaction and security of our guests, the owners, management and staff of Misty Mountain are unable to accept responsibility for any accident, injury, damage or loss incurred either on the property of Misty Mountain or as a result of any advice given or action taken by the said owners, management or staff.
